1. Ayat al-Kursi
Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa al-ḥayyul-qayyūm, lā ta’khudhuhu sinatun walā nawm, lahu mā fī as-samāwāti wamā fī al-arḍ, man dhā alladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahu illā bi-idhnih, ya‘lamu mā bayna aydīhim wamā khalfahum, walā yuḥīṭūna bishay’in min ‘ilmihi illā bimā shā’a, wasi‘a kursiyyuhu as-samāwāti wal-arḍ, walā ya’ūduhu ḥifẓuhumā, wahuwa al-‘aliyyul-‘aẓīm.
Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (Al-Baqarah: 255)
2. The Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah
Āmana ar-rasūlu bimā unzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal-mu’minūn, kullun āmana billāhi wamalā’ikatihi wakutubihi warusulih, lā nufarriqu bayna aḥadin min rusulih, waqālū sami‘nā wa’aṭa‘nā ghufrānaka rabbanā wa-ilayka al-maṣīr. Lā yukallifu Allāhu nafsan illā wus‘ahā, lahā mā kasabat wa‘alayhā mā iktasabat, rabbanā lā tu’ākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭa’nā, rabbanā walā taḥmil ‘alaynā iṣran kamā ḥamaltahu ‘alā alladhīna min qablinā, rabbanā walā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih, wa‘fu ‘annā waghfir lanā warḥamnā, anta mawlānā fa-unṣurnā ‘alā al-qawmil-kāfirīn.
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.” Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Al-Baqarah: 285-286)
3. Seeking Protection 3x
A‘ūdhu bikalimāti Allāhi at-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
4. Declaration of Satisfaction
Raḍītu billāhi rabban, wabil-Islāmi dīnan, wabi-Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wasallama nabiyyan.
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as my Prophet.
5. Du‘a for Light
Allāhumma ij‘al fī qalbī nūran, wafī baṣarī nūran, wafī sam‘ī nūran, wa‘an yamīnī nūran, wa‘an shimālī nūran, wamin fawqī nūran, wamin taḥtī nūran, wa-amāmī nūran, wakhalfī nūran, wa-ij‘al lī nūran.
O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, and grant me light.
6. Asking Forgiveness
Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā anta, khalaqtanī wa-anā ‘abduk, wa-anā ‘alā ‘ahdika wawa‘dika mā istaṭa‘tu, a‘ūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣana‘tu, abū’u laka bini‘matika ‘alayya, wa-abū’u laka bidhanbī, faghfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfiru adh-dhunūba illā anta.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity except You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I am upon Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for indeed, none forgives sins except You.

O Allah, whatever blessing has come to me or to any of Your creation this morning, it is from You alone, with no partner, so to You be praise and to You be thanks.
